The Institute has recently completed the design, development and publication of EFL programs and related materials for young Korean students.

The project was funded by the
Choral English College
in South Korea. The development of the
programs
entailed the use of a number of innovative teaching and learning approaches and resulted in 4 - 6 years of English instruction comprised of several hundred books including story books, teacher guides, student work booklets, posters, playing cards, flash cards, 32 CD ROMs, module entry and exit tests and weekly achievement booklets.

The
Pronunciation Guide
is a comprehensive reference tool for teachers of English in Korea. The Guide is comprehensive and systematic with detailed information for the practice of English sounds and words and necessary technical information as well as practical tips.

The initial
Global English Proficiency Test (GEPT)
is designed to assess the English language proficiency of Korean students between the ages of 8 and 14 years. Test results may be used to indicate to parents their child's general English proficiency level in the four macro skills of Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. The results may also be used to indicate the student's likely ability to undertake study in a native English speaking country. Students who sit the Level C GEPT may also consider sitting for the International Second Language Proficiency Ratings (ISLPR).

The CEC Institute currently recruits graduates to teach English in South Korea. However, we are able to
recruit
for other Asian countries if required.

The Institute has developed 16 multimedia CD-ROMs with
high interest activities
for maximum student engagement.

The Institute has developed 16 audio CD-ROMs.

The Institute has written and published
forty-eight full color story books
and animated these stories in addition to publishing hard copy books.

The Institute has written over 100 pieces of poetry for
Choral Speaking.
In addition, a special booklet with specific choral speaking exercises has been written for use in English programs which utilize the
choral speaking methodology.
