Amelia has been an elementary school teacher for Education Queensland.

She has lectured in English and ESL at Hebron College of Education, acted as an external marker at the University of South Africa and a marker with the South African Education Department. She has taught English and French to high school students in Zimbabwe and has also taught in the USA and Canada. Christine has also been a test writer for tests of English Proficiency.

She was the recipient of an Australian Postgraduate Award (in recognition of academic excellence) to complete a M. Ed. Admin., she is an Accredited Australian Institute of Management Member (entitled to use the letters AIMM) and a Director (National) and Secretary (Queensland Chapter) of the Australian New Zealand Education Law Association. She has previously been Principal of elementary schools in independent Anglican schools and Deputy Principal of a P-12 Anglican College. Debi is currently Director Academic Programs and Administration at the Choral English College Institute and a part time academic at the Queensland University of Technology.
